MANTOVABIKEXPERIENCE
The Mantuva-Peschiera cycle path is the most famous in the area and is part of the EuroVelo 7 cycling network, which connects Nordkapp to the island of Malta through 9 European countries, covering a route of over 7400 km. The itinerary from Mantua to Peschiera stretches for 43.5 km and largely follows the path of the old Mantua-Peschiera railway, while from Marengo it covers 26 km, following the course of the Mincio River. It passes through the municipalities of Mantua, Porto Mantovano, Marmirolo, Volta Mantovana, Monzambano, Valeggio sul Mincio, Ponti sul Mincio, and Peschiera del Garda. The cycle path is specifically designed for bicycles, with minimal elevation, clear signage, and suitable for all. It is considered one of the most beautiful cycle paths in northern Italy, frequented by over 200,000 cyclists every year.
A section of the Mantova-Peschiera cycle path is included in the
Sun Cycle Route, which crosses four Italian regions: Veneto, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, and Tuscany. This cycle route connects Verona, Mantua, Modena, Bologna, and soon also Pistoia, Prato, and Florence, once the route in the Apennine part is completed. Additionally, both the EuroVelo 7 and Sun Cycle Route intersect south of Mantua, near the River Po, with the
EuroVelo 8 route, which stretches from the Strait of Gibraltar to Cyprus. Furthermore, there's also
VENTO, a cycle path of over 700 km that follows the embankments of the River Po and connects Turin to Venice.
The Marengo location is already situated on the Mantua-Peschiera cycle path and is 26 km away from Peschiera. Therefore, it becomes feasible to make a round trip by bicycle, still covering the most beautiful part of the cycle path, the one that follows the Mincio River and where refreshment points and things to see are concentrated (Borghetto, Valeggio sul Mincio, and the Sigurtà Garden Park, Monzambano).
At Marengo, we have a reserved and guarded parking area for customer cars.
